Our farm is solely funded by 100 CSA Memberships. The CSA share has gone up a few dollars for each week of produce received to help cover our increased expenses. We always strive to provide you with an abundance of high quality nutritious produce. Thank you for allowing us to grow with you.

Quick Tips & Recipe ideas: Rutabaga: boiled, mashed, roasted, soups, more ideas for you. Did you ever think of baking with a rutabaga? Well, here is a cake recipe tried by Cathy. Thanks for experimenting! Cabbage: for storage and ideas don’t forget to check the Vegetable Directory. Mizuna: Sorry, no directory page for this one. This is a mild mustard green eaten raw or cooked with feathery serrated edges. Will be overpowering on its own in a salad. Best to combine with other greens. Remember cooking will shrink tremendously, try not to over cook and just wilt. Arugula: Highly perishable- use right away – peppery green eaten raw or lightly wilted. Excellent topper for pizza or pasta. Can even make pesto. Romano Flat Beans: you can use as you would regular beans; here is a great resource with may options steam, boil, braise and recipes How to Cook Romano Beans Garlic: Have you ever roasted garlic? So delicious The temperatures are going down it is roasting season How to roast garlic Peppers: mini sweets – so yummy even just as a snack. Radish: raw or cooked, excellent in stir fry or sliced thin on a sandwich, added to salad or pickled. Scallions: remember you can slice and freeze these – no blanching.

For more information about your weekly veggies, you can find storage and usage tips on the Vegetable Directory. We also have Pinterest boards for all veggies.
