
Snow Pea Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 2 cups snow peas, trimmed cut diagonal
- 1 cup asian greens
- 1/3 cup garlic scapes, cut diagonal thin slices about 2 scapes
- 2-3 radish, cut into matchsticks
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prep your veggies
- trim snow peas – pinch to remove stem and pull down to remove string and cut into diagonal bite size pieces
- slice garlic scapes into thin diagonal pieces
- slice radish in thin rounds, stack and cut into matchsticks
- rough chop the asian greens
Prepare the seasoned sauce
- whisk together and set aside1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp lime juice, 1 tsp maple syrup, 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Stir Fry
- heat the skillet or wok to medium-high heat, add the sesame oil2 tbsp sesame oil
- add the garlic scapes, saute and cook for about 1-2 minutes, be careful not to burn, stir and lower heat if necessary1/3 cup garlic scapes, cut diagonal thin slices
- add the snow peas, asian greens, and radish stir and cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp and bright green2 cups snow peas, trimmed, 2-3 radish, cut into matchsticks, 1 cup asian greens
- add your seasoned sauce, stir and cook for 1 additional minute to combine
- season with salt and pepper to taste
- serve over rice or noodles
Notes
Optional add in:
fresh basil leaves that are sliced thin into ribbons can be added in the final step after cooking is complete to just lightly wilt the leaves.
