
Savory Cabbage Pancakes

Ingredients
- 4 cups green cabbage shredded about 400 grams
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2-3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- oil for frying – grapeseed, canola
Instructions
Prepare the batter
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, soy sauce, sesame oil, 1/2 cup water mix well and add more water if necessary to achieve a smooth batter1 cup all-purpose flour , 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2-3/4 cup water
Prepare the vegetables
- Shred the cabbage as fine as possible. A mandoline is great for this. Finely chop the green onion tops.
Mix with the batter
- Add the shredded cabbage and green onion tops to the batter and mix well until it is all coated in the batter4 cups green cabbage shredded, 2 green onions, finely chopped
Cook the pancakes
- Heat pan to medium. Give your pan time to heat thoroughly. This helps your pancake to not stick to the pan. Add a thin layer of oil and drop 1/4 cup of the cabbage batter mixture then press into pancake shape in a thin layer. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Repeat – makes about 12 pancakes.oil for frying – grapeseed, canola

Soy-Ginger Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1 tsp maple syrup or agave
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- 1 tbsp green onions, finely chopped garnish
- 1 tsp sesame seeds garnish
Instructions
Combine ingredients
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sweetener. Garnish
