Roasted Radishes

Roasting radishes lessens the sharp bite of radish flavor and sweetens them a bit.

Roasted Radishes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb radishes, scrubbed, trimmed, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive or grapeseed oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp thyme optional
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional

Instructions

Preheat Oven

  • preheat oven to 400°℉

Prepare the radishes

  • wash and trim the radishes then cut in half or quarters depending on size
  • in a mixing bowl combine the radishes, oil, seasonings until well coated
    1/2 lb radishes, scrubbed, trimmed, halved, 1 tbsp olive or grapeseed oil, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp garlic powder

Roast the radishes

  • Spread the seasoned and oiled radish in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down
  • Roast in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the radish are tender and light brown, stir or flip halfway through cooking

Serve

  • serve as a side dish and garnish with finely chopped parsley if desired
