
Roasting radishes lessens the sharp bite of radish flavor and sweetens them a bit.
Roasted Radishes
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb radishes, scrubbed, trimmed, halved
- 1 tbsp olive or grapeseed oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp thyme optional
- 1 tsp garlic powder optional
Instructions
Preheat Oven
- preheat oven to 400°℉
Prepare the radishes
- wash and trim the radishes then cut in half or quarters depending on size
- in a mixing bowl combine the radishes, oil, seasonings until well coated1/2 lb radishes, scrubbed, trimmed, halved, 1 tbsp olive or grapeseed oil, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp garlic powder
Roast the radishes
- Spread the seasoned and oiled radish in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down
- Roast in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the radish are tender and light brown, stir or flip halfway through cooking
Serve
- serve as a side dish and garnish with finely chopped parsley if desired
