We are sure you are aware that May was stormy and cooler than normal. Our farm received over 6″ of rain this past month, and it has been quite challenging to get crops planted. We have had to change some of our plans and rearrange our planting schedules and locations. On a positive note, the pond is full.
Since our last farm update, we have been planting in the field, hoop houses, and high tunnels. Consecutive dry days were hard to find this past month. We had a few that were dry enough in the field to get some things planted before the next downpour.
From the field
The first crops we expect to have during June are rhubarb, Swiss chard, bok choy, radish, hakurei turnip, arugula, lettuces, and mizuna.
Big News!!
