Rhubarb Sauce
This sauce can be used in many ways and frozen. Use on biscuits, ice cream, yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 cups rhubarb, rinsed and chopped slice into even pieces
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan add the chopped rhubarb, sugar, and water
- bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer (medium-low) for approx. 8-10 minutes stirring occasionally until the rhubarb is softened
Notes
Note: Depending on your preferred flavor profile, once the sauce is done cooking, you can add the following spices that pair excellent with rhubarb: ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, or pinch of nutmeg (sparingly)
