Rhubarb Sauce

This sauce can be paired with biscuits, ice cream, yogurt and can be frozen.

Rhubarb Sauce

This sauce can be used in many ways and frozen. Use on biscuits, ice cream, yogurt

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rhubarb, rinsed and chopped slice into even pieces
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • In a medium sauce pan add the chopped rhubarb, sugar, and water
  • bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer (medium-low) for approx. 8-10 minutes stirring occasionally until the rhubarb is softened

Notes

Note: Depending on your preferred flavor profile, once the sauce is done cooking, you can add the following spices that pair excellent with rhubarb: ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, or pinch of nutmeg (sparingly)
