Roasting Fresh Italian Peppers

Ingredients

  • Fresh Italian Roasting Peppers
  • oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450℉
  • Wash peppers
  • Place whole peppers on a baking sheet and coat with a bit of oil
  • Roast in a preheated oven for about 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally until peppers are charred and blistered on all sides
  • Remove the peppers and transfer to a bowl and cover with a plate to steam
  • let them sit for 10-15 minutes to help with peeling
  • once peppers are cool enough to touch, peel off the charred skin. Cut open and remove seeds and membrane
  • Slice or chop and use in a variety of ways
