Beans – store in the fridge;  retain moisture;  raw, cold salads, steamed, boiled, sautéed;

Spoiler Alert: purple beans turn green when you cook them

Red Norland Potato  or Mountain Rose – no need to peel; new potatoes – harvested before the plant dies back –  boiled, mashed, or roasted

Fresh Garlic – harvested for fresh use, not dried ; store room temp on the counter

Shisho (Japanese Basil / Perilla)  – Red or Green  – unique flavors , slicing into long skinny strips helps  brings out the flavor;

Suggestions for use: julienned and sprinkiled on citrus or mixed green salad; tossed into a pot of green tea; minced into or as a leaf wrap for tuna salad; chopped up and added to roasted or stir-fried veggies; leaf wrap for barbecued meat or tofu; in scrambled eggs;
