**The regular season CSA continues until week #20 – The last week of October.**
Quick Tips -Wash your greens prior to eating. Arugula -Please add a paper towel to your bag to absorb excess moisture and rinse prior to eating. Great uses are salads, pasta dishes, frittatas, chopped on pizza, and pesto. There is an arugula jalapeno pesto recipe on the Pinterest board. Broccoli – we did soak it here. Please remember we do not use pesticides. Soaking in saltwater at home can help dislodge any pests still remaining. Quick broccoli soup – cut it up, boil in vegetable broth just to cover. Puree when tender and salt and pepper to taste. If you would like it a creamier you can add cream or unsweetened coconut milk at blending. Radish – cooked or raw. Have you accumulated some in your fridge? Perhaps creamy radish dip is for you – find it on the radish page in the vegetable directory. Butternut Squash – excellent roasted, for soup, and baked goods. This will store for quite some time at room temp. It can also be peeled, diced, and frozen without blanching. This is a timesaver if you have the freezer space. Tokyo Bekana – raw or cooked. Can be used the same as bok choy.

FARM UPDATE: We did receive 1 1/4″ of rain over the past week. The soil is happy, the pond would love some more. Every little bit helps. We are continuing to clean out beds that no longer have crops in them and planting cover crop. It looks like the temperatures will cooperate over the next week and we hope to get a lot of this clean up accomplished.
PHOTOS FROM THE WEEK: Raised beds are completed. We cleaned out the tomato hoophouse and planted for the CSA Extension share. Crops planted in this house are arugula, lettuce mix, scallions, broccoli, lettuce heads,
