For more information about the above items, you can find storage and usage tips on the Vegetable Directory. There are also links to recipe search sites – type what ingredients you want to use and you will get some inspiration. This can be found from the menu on the website or the link above.

Quick Tips -As always please wash your greens prior to eating to remove remaining soil. When cooking greens try not to overcook. Add at the end and lightly wilt. If preferred add larger stems earlier in the cooking process. Tokyo Bekana – a non-heading Chinese cabbage that can be added to a salad or cooked. It has a crunchy rib and mild flavor. Mizuna -very mild mustard green that has a mild peppery taste – can be eaten raw in salads or cooked (very quickly) Red Radish – long and slender for easy slicing into salads and can be added to stirfry or roasted. Napa Cabbage – typical Chinese cabbage used in kimchi. You can use leaves from the outside and work your way in. With proper moisture retention, this cabbage will last for quite a while in the fridge. Great added to stirfry shredded or used in eggrolls. Blanch and use for rolled stuffed cabbage leaves. Green Tomato – there are not many but everyone will have a few to give fried green tomatoes a try.

**The CSA continues until week #20 – The last week of October.**

2021 Season – Some of you have started to ask about next season. We will begin accepting membership for 2021 in October. We offer a discount to those who pay in full by the final farm event of the season scheduled in mid-October. CSA shares will begin to be offered for sale starting next week for current CSA members. The price will be the same as last season.

FARM UPDATE: We have decided with the current Covid-19 local cases on the rise that we will cancel our final event of the season. This event is mainly a socializing and eating occasion. We have decided that we do not feel that we can accommodate the requirements for social distancing and still have the social event that we would like. We hope that we can hold these events next season. We feel that is is important for everyone to visit the farm.
