Garlic Powder — This is our special treat for you – CSA Extension Members – coveted by CSA Extension Members for the past few years when we have had garlic to dry. This is the best garlic powder around that we have found and can be procured on the underground market for $8/bottle. Enjoy!!

Baby Greens Mix – Mustard, Arugula, Bok Choy – This mix can be eaten as a salad or tossed into the end of a stirfry or saute. They will cook very quickly. We did give them a quick rinse and spin at the farm. Our farm is now covered in snow. Luckily, we had some greens growing in the coldframe hoophouse that we kept under a row cover.

FARM UPDATE:

We are already fantasizing through our seed catalogs. We have purchased our CSS (Community Supported Seed Share) through High Mowing Seeds. They offer a 10% discount when a “Seed Share” is purchased by Dec 21st. When you purchase as many seeds as we do, it really saves our resources. High Mowing Seeds offers 100% Organic Seeds and is where we purchase the bulk of our seeds. Thank you to all of you that have purchased your CSA share for the 2020 Season. This allows us to have the funds upfront to make large supply purchases like this one.

During these winter months, we make a list of improvement projects, clean up projects, and building projects. Our re-certification application arrives in December and is due back to NOFA-NY by the end of February. Our seed inventory is completed and new seeds ordered. All supplies are inventoried and orders are placed for the next growing season. We start our first seeds in the first week of March. It will be here before we know it. See you in the spring!!
