When you arrive we will have complimentary coffee provided by Seneca Sunrise Coffee and a light seasonal snack prepared for you. We will discuss how we grow potatoes on our farm. Then it is off to the field to dig some potatoes. After the harvest, we will enjoy some seasonal food samples where potatoes are the focus and sample some cask ale from a local brewery. We will conclude with a farm tour so you can ask questions and see where and how all of your CSA veggies are grown.
Bradley of Seneca Lake Brewing Company will be here to tell you about his brewery and have tasting samples. You can stop by The Beerocracy – our local pub – after the event.
Quick Tips : Cucumbers have arrived! Quick pickle recipe on the cucumber page in the vegetable directory. My favorite way to eat cucumbers is peeled/wedged and lightly salted or peeled/sliced/chunked with some tomatoes and italian dressing – kept in the fridge for a cold snack on a hot day. See our fermented veggies page too!
See vegetable directory for further details…………..Enjoy your week!
We made it through another heat wave! Finally had a bit much needed rain last night.
GENEVA RESIDENTS: Check out the Little Free Farmstand – Give/Take/Swap – 2 stands located on State Street & at Gulvin Park @littlefreefarmstandgeneva
PLEASE NOTE: We were informed by our “crop box” vendor that they are out of stock of the small boxes until fall —extremely important to return your box every week!!!
