We would like to welcome our new members that have joined for the fall share – Sept & Oct. As the summer crops come to an end, we will begin to see some fall favorites – Kale, Bok Choy, Winter Squash, Cabbage, Broccoli, Carrots, Beets, Radicchio, Arugula, Spinach, Turnip, Rutabaga, Kohlrabi, Radish, Swiss Chard, Mustard Greens, Lettuce, Potato, Sweet Potato, Onion, Celeriac.

FARM NEWS:

We will keep picking from the 1st planting of sweet corn until it is gone. Most of you have heard the news that the first planting suffered from the excessive rain earlier in the season. The ears were stunted but still quite delicious. The 2nd planting is looking great and should be ready soon.
Member Day is Saturday, September 19th. You are welcome to come visit the farm from 1-3pm and take a tour of the field to see where/how your veggies are grown.

Recipe: Oven Roasted Delicata Squash
Rinse off outer skin, cut in half lengthwise, scoop out seeds, slice 1/4″ thick, do not peel, mix in bowl just to lightly coat – olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic (fresh pressed or powder), roast in high heat (450) oven to desired crispness – YUM!
This was a quick lunch we had today – great way to use up all your veggies!
