Weekly list is ready Week#12
Sad News – Field tomatoes have been damaged by late blight early this year. We will not have the abundance of sweet mixed cherry tomatoes we had been waiting for. The red bellstar tomatoes are also in the field. We have picked a lot that were not ripe yet and are waiting to see if they will be ok. You’ll find out if you get some in your share.
Happy News – The tomatoes in the coldframe hoophouse – Heirlooms and Red Cherry seem to be ok so far!
Last week we had green tomatoes in the share – these are Sunkist tomatoes and will turn yellow if you haven’t eaten them green already. Fried Green Tomatoes!
Labor Day Weekend already! We are doing all deliveries as normal this week and next. If you have plans for the long weekend have a great time.
